Meet the Artist …
Originally from the North East of Scotland, I now live in West Sussex with my husband, Nick and our two beautiful children, Caleb and Camille.
After a career in healthcare and a stint of living abroad in Hungary, I decided to follow my dream of painting.
I have always loved art but it was only after rediscovering this during my first maternity leave, that I began to consider pursuing my creative dream. Since then I have been lucky enough to sell my work and do commissioned pieces for customers around the world.
One of my favourite quotes headlines this website: ‘everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.’’
With this sentiment in mind, through my art I hope to show that something simple can be just as beautiful as something complex and dramatic.
I grew up in the North East of Scotland around beautiful lochs, glens and beaches. I now find myself drawn to these locations and scenes as inspiration for a lot of my acrylic pieces. I am also fascinated by the intensity and obscurity of the ocean - this also features heavily in my work.
All of my watercolour illustrations are available as prints and some acrylic pieces too. Larger, original canvas works will also be available alongside periodic original collection releases. I also welcome requests for individual commissions for both watercolour and acrylic work.
